Future 500, the leader in stakeholder engagement, and the AHC Group announced today their third annual corporate workshop focused on stakeholder engagement tactics.

Leading engagement specialists, corporate executives and seasoned campaigners will help 25 senior executives to understand crucial stakeholder dynamics and learn replicable tools to engage more proactively with external stakeholders, notably non-profit organizations. An effective stakeholder strategy can mitigate risks and inform corporate long-term planning. The two-day workshop takes place at famed Cavallo Point Eco-Resort in Sausalito, California this November 15-16.

Earlier this year technology companies such as Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and Facebook were attacked publicly by Greenpeace for using dirty energy. “Incidents like this highlight why this executive briefing will help participating executives understand the competitive power of highly targeted strategic stakeholder engagement in building durable brand reputation”, says Bill Shireman, CEO of Future 500 and a pioneer in stakeholder engagement.

Building on successful briefings in 2010 and 2011, this year’s event will include special focus on energy and technology issues. In a digital world where issues explode in minutes, our distinguished guest speakers from the non-profit and for-profit world will share pitfalls, best practices and illuminating personal case studies. Participants will hear about the top ten corporate-NGO issues of conflict anticipated for 2013 and how this might affect governmental regulations and brand reputations.

“As a former executive responsible for engaging our external stakeholders, I would have greatly benefitted from the collective wisdom and insights shared at these intimate briefings and would have integrated them into our strategic business planning”, says Ken Strassner, former VP of Global Environment, Safety, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs for Kimberly-Clark, Senior Fellow to Future 500/AHC Group, and a facilitator for the working group.

What to expect from this workshop:

• Content-rich networking and collaboration among corporate and NGO executive leaders in stakeholder engagement and corporate social responsibility.

• Insights into best practice approaches from peers and experts in the field.

• Opportunity to learn from compelling case studies, highlighting successful strategies and common mistakes.

• Discussion with Stakeholder Engagement experts from Future 500 and AHC Group, including New York Times best-selling author and AHC Founder, Bruce Piasecki, as well as private insights during sessions with invited NGO activist leaders from the Sierra Club, Electronic Frontier Foundation, and Forest Ethics.

This workshop is for senior executives from leading companies. To register, please visit:  http://bit.ly/NuEwpM
