Anna Vinogradova shares Walmart's zero waste vision for its supply chain

Waste and packaging are two sustainability priorities for Walmart, said its sustainability director, Anna Vinogradova. Project Gigaton aims to take out one billion metric tons of CO2 from its supply chain. The retail giant has also committed to 100 percent "recyclable, reusable and compostable" packaging and 20 percent recycled content by 2025. A new initiative is to include "how to recycle" labels on all of its private brand packaging by 2022. Walmart hopes to educate suppliers and consumers on the importance of recycling. and encourages other national brands to join the movement toward a circular economy. From Circularity19.
