Supermarket giant Tesco has announced plans to shorten its supply chain and source more from Britain. Tesco, the world’s third largest retailer, was one of the first food chains to be hit by the news that some of its beef products contained horsemeat and has seen governments across Europe call for tighter sourcing rules and more stringent labelling of food products
