Last week I blogged about what I consider to be one of the unfortunate consequences of the allegations made about Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) treatment of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). I also, rightly, got challenged about my having given the impression that SMEs are an unqualified good. That wasn’t my intention but I understand the scepticism – and it raises an important point.
